Mini Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

- 4 medium-sized apples

- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar

- 1/4 cup of brown sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

- 1/4 teaspoon of salt

- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

- Store-bought pie crust

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Peel and dice the apples into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

3. Add the lemon juice to the diced apples and mix well to prevent browning.

4. In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, and all-purpose flour.

Mix until well combined.

5. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the diced apples and toss until all the apples are coated.

6. Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, pour the butter over the apple mixture and stir until all the apples are evenly coated.

7. Roll out the store-bought pie crust and cut out circles using a round cookie cutter or a drinking glass.

8. Line a muffin tin with the pie crust circles, pressing them gently into the cavities.

9. Spoon the apple mixture into each muffin tin, filling them up to the top.

10. Cut out smaller circles from the remaining pie crust for the top of each mini pie.

Place the circles on top of the apple filling and press the edges to seal the crusts together.

11. Using a sharp knife, make a few small slits on the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.

12. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

13. Remove the mini apple pies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.

14. Carefully remove each mini pie from the muffin tin and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

15. Serve the mini apple pies warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
